Worming Treatments

It has always been difficult to get dog owners to mess about with brewing up traditional herbal worming formulations and then somehow get their dogs to take them. Most of you therefore, just opt for the chemical wormers which are either obtained from the Vet or over the counter, from pet shops and supermarkets.

I have been working toward providing super concentrated extracts of worming herbs in the form of drops which are easily administered and more acceptable to you, the owners and trainers. I now have three different formulations which are all effective, economical and easy to administer.

The Heart Worm Treatment is based around an extract of a herb called Wormwood (not surprising). This is given at a rate 20 drops twice daily for 2 weeks to start with and then 5 drops twice per week as a maintenance. For all other worms, I have a blend of several different traditional worming herbs which are included used in both the acute and the maintenance programs. Booster doses of 40 drops twice per day are given three weeks apart with a maintenance doses of 5 drops twice per week in between and then afterward.  Boosters can be given more or less frequently really depending on the season and your own experience but they don't interfere with your racing and training programs.

The worming treatments are the ones I have had most trouble getting all of you to accept into your programs as you consider them too much trouble.  I can only stress however, that if you can worm without poisons, your dog and its digestive system are in better shape and they should be healthier and hopefully faster, if they are racing dogs.

I now regularly mail to my clients, three different dog worming programs:

1: The heart worm mix given specifically and regularly to protect dogs from this particular parasite. This can be ordered online and dispatched within 24 hrs. Click here.

2: The acute program to deal with new dogs when they enter the kennel or any dog which you suspect has an unhealthy worm load. This can also be ordered online. Click here.

3: The preventative program, which can be given regularly to the whole kennel to make sure that all the dogs remain protected from worm problems. This program is simple and cheap to follow and is a great deal healthier for your dogs than is the routine use of chemical wormers. Click here.
