Augie had an skin autoimmune disease

In December, 2004, my two year old Beagle/Lab mix (Augie) was finally diagnosed with an auto-immune disease (phemigus foliceus) and the vet suggested a treatment of three drugs that could cause other problems, infections and even a change in his personality. Augie had nodules on his ears, calluses on his nose and he already had some hair falling out around his eyes. I did not want to have him go through the drug treatment recommended by the vet, so I discussed my dogs problem with many of my co-workers who had pets.

One of the ladies I worked with had a horse who had gotten nodules on his tail from being in the sun - it had been diagnosed as cancer by the vet. She told me how she had gotten a mixture from Australia that eventually cured her horse. She got me the information on Robert McDowell, and I sent off my first e-mail to him in January, 2005. I started Augie on the regimen of herbs in a conditioning mix, along with millet and flax twice a day in rose hip tea. (I keep some of his dry dog food out and mix the millet and flax in a small bowl with the rose hip tea, and he loves it!)

I noticed Augie getting better within a short time; by April, 2005, his nose had improved and the crustiness was getting better and he was not losing any more hair. I continued with the regimen and within about 9 months all of the nodules on his ears were gone and some of the hair that had fallen out had grown back. Today he looks like he never had any problem and he is a very lively 4 year old. I am very thankful that I discussed Augie's disease with everyone I knew at the time he was diagnosed with the disease, as there was someone who knew of an alternative treatment that worked!
