Routine Blood Tests: For 20 years routine blood tests have been used to try to diagnose factors contributing to problems in Greyhound performance and anyone with experience with routine blood tests will tell you these are simply a licence to print money and of very little practical benefit to either the dog or its owner. The Mass Spectrometer: Some of these techniques are based around an analysis of the mineral content of the hair sample using a mass spectrometer. Such tests, although impressive as they appear to be very scientific, are not very helpful to diagnose illness or to produce dietary recommendations although they often claim to be able to do both of these things. Mass spectrometer tests are much more helpful in identifying soil deficiencies for example or picking up heavy metal or other toxic substances in cases of poisoning. The Radionics Box: Other tests are performed using what is called a Radionics Box which picks up the energy of the hair sample and matches it to deficiency X Y and Z and to supplement A, B or C. This is a very crude attempt to replicate the experience of an experienced individual who might look at a dog and say from the look of it that this animal needs a supplement containing Calcium and Iron for example. This method pretends to be scientific but is really just a marketing tool and it provides no real insight into the underlying problems which have contributed to a dog's ill health, keenness or performance. The hair analysis program which I offer is based on dousing the energy signature around the hair sample which contains a holographic representation of all the dog's systems and structures. In this way, we are able to identify systems which are either over or under active and this is immensely useful in pinpointing areas which are involved in weakness or ill health or are potential threats to the animal's ongoing health and performance. My wife Cath who has practiced as a Reiki Master for over 8 years, works with me on each hair analysis reading which measures the electrical energy surrounding a sample of hair, its aura if you like. The energy state (recorded as a percentage) of 35 different systems within the dog is recorded on the chart which is provided to you with the written report. See sample chart To perform an energetic hair analysis we only need a few strands of hair from the coat anywhere. If you send the hair sample, along with a brief health history and current problems if any, we can help you understand what is going on with the dog's health and provide advice on ongoing herbal or other supplements and treatments. If you wish we will personally talk you through the results on the telephone or via email, free of additional charges, to finalise our recommendations. The cost of the hair analysis includes a second reading which is ideally made 3 to 4 weeks after beginning treatment. For this second reading we need a fresh hair sample along with a report from you on what you have noticed during the first 3 weeks of treatment. Cost of my Hair Analysis Diagnostics: Total fee including two readings is $95.00.
